Creative Design in Remodeling Small Spaces:

Instead of going through the expense and hassle of moving, the current trend is to stay where we are and remodel to make our homes more efficient and attractive, or to add on a room if our budget allows. 

There is a great website that has a pretty comprehensive coverage of the options in re-designing small spaces such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, or closets.  It seems that the original designers of many homes assumed we would haul all sorts of cabinets, dressers and shelving into each home.  Or maybe they just thought we would move when spaces became too packed.  The website www.notsobighouse.com  has some great pictures of built-in closets that could hold an amazing amount of items.
