Thawing Frozen Pipes:
One of my greatest fears when the temperature dips into the 20’s or below and STAYS there (thankfully this doesn’t happen too often in Bellingham, Washington, but it DOES happen from time to time).
Maybe because it doesn’t happen every year I (we) are not clear on what the heck to do to prevent frozen pipes in the first place, and then to thaw them out if it becomes necessary. I found this great article that covers this issue and thought others might get a lot of useful information out of it as well.
Some of it may seem like common sense, but it seems that “common sense” is not really very common anymore. The article is assuming you will thaw out the pipes and repair any damage yourself, but for the inexperienced such as myself, I like the security of knowing that a qualified expert has done the job. Enjoy the article!
