Walk-in closets are the perfect solution to clothing storage

If you don’t have a lot of room, don’t despair! Walk-in closets are like any other room in the house – they are not all the same size. They can be large and spacious or compact. The idea is to make it easier to organize and store your clothes, while making it quick to locate what you want.

The storage needs of each person will be unique, so the size and arrangement of the walk-in closet needs to be tailored to the individual.

For hanging clothing such as shirts, dresses and jackets, clothing rods are needed, at appropriate heights. For folded items, open shelves with vertical separators work well; the items can be quickly located without having to open drawers or doors.

Walk-in closets can be as large as a sitting room; if you want to be able to dress there, a chair would be nice so you can sit while putting on shoes, for instance.

Proper lighting is important, so that colors appear accurately.
