Unique Plumbing Fixtures, Not so Common Here!
I decided to check out some unusual bathroom fixtures, after seeing one that at first glance I thought was a joke. My apologies to the folks at Caroma, this is a real unit. As you can see, you can wash your hands in the ‘sink’ and the water can then be used to flush the toilet. It seems backwards, usually you wash your hands after using the toilet, but I didn’t read up on the methodology. I have been told that it is in use more commonly in Japan. Obviously, it is both a space saver and a water saver.
You can get more information on the above fixture at: http://www.caromausa.com/, they have many water saving fixtures of more traditional design.
The colorful and striking sink above is from the website listed below. They have unusual and beautiful tile patterns for sinks and countertops.http://www.scrapbookscrapbook.com/DAC-ART/italian-european-bathroom-design.html
