Why remodel that bathroom?
Looking all over the internet, and talking to homeowners who call us for bath remodels, here are some of the reasons people want a bath remodel:
- It is just too outdated and old
- Not enough storage
- Showers too small
- Poor lighting
- Poor ventilation/ loud exhaust fan
Another reason we hear frequently, is the owner needs to upgrade the bathroom for accessibility. This is more common than you might think! What features are often requested? Here is a short list:
- Low threshold, or no threshold shower
- Grab bars in the shower/ tub and toilet area
- Bench in the shower and a hand held showerhead
- Comfort height toilet
We are happy to work with clients to upgrade their bathrooms, whatever the motivating reasons! Bathrooms do get old, due to the moisture issue which can bring on mold and mildew issues. Sometimes people forget the importance of the exhaust fan, and an old one won’t be capable of doing it’s job properly, that of removing the moisture laden air.
