Finishing your basement
Turning it into . . . whatever you want! Everyone with an unfinished basement is annoyed every time they think about that wasted square footage that is not pulling it’s own weight for those property taxes we all have to pay.
Not to mention they oftentimes end up as a general catch-all for things we don’t have a proper place to store, such as seasonal outdoor sports equipment, canning supplies, crafts, kids toys, etc.
A basement can be refinished to provide a guest bedroom and bath, organized storage space, or if you already have enough bedrooms, how about a sports bar, home theater, exercise room, or whatever you desire!
Make that lazy, goof-off space work for it’s contribution to your property taxes! It will increase the value of your home when the time comes to sell, as well.
