Three things every kitchen needs

Pull outs for spices and specialty small appliances; island for visiting with family or friends when cooking; enough walking around space in the kitchen.

Those undercounter cabinets are great for storing things, but really hard to find what you need quickly and easily. Have those nifty pull out “drawers” built in some of them to make your life easier.

It’s no secret that islands are popular for kitchens, and for many reasons. Socializing while preparing meals makes meal prep more fun, and the additional counterspace and undercounter storage is every cooks dream.

The unspoken requirement that every kitchen needs however, is enough space between islands, cabinets, and for those extra small kitchens, just space, period, for moving between the refrigerator, stove, sink and that garbage bin!

Be shure that when you update your kitchen, these three needs are included in the design and construction. Don’t go overboard for an island if it would mean squeezing between the island and the counter.
