What’s trending in bath vanities?
The ever-useful, and necessary bath vanity has come a long way in recent years. Popular colors, oval-shaped bowls and tiles that were popular in the 50’s are rarely seen anymore.
One recent trend is floating vanities and taller heights, as well as furniture-look styles. Lots of organizational accessories, lots of drawers and hidden electrical outlets are being requested.
Outlets located in drawers for hair dryers and other electric items, allows people to keep them plugged in but doesn’t clutter up the countertop with them. Outlets can be added to medicine cabinets as well, for toothbrushes and skin care brushes.
For those who have the space, specialized linen and towel storage is popular.
Rectangular sink shapes are also outpacing the traditional round or oval shapes. It complements the shape of tile.
Nationally, shades of gray have become popular; racing white and off-whites for most popular bath colors.
Homeowners of Whatcom County, on the evergreen side of Washington state, still lean toward neutral colors and earthy tones for preferred bath colors, no doubt influenced by the natural landscapes around us.
