Why build a deck on your house?
The days are getting a little longer, and slightly warmer, so it doesn’t take much for us PNW people to start thinking about spring and summer. And what is better than a new deck for the warmer days to come.
Most homes have either a deck or a patio, but in our climate they can deteriorate faster than we’d like. Too much rain, causing moss and rot. Be sure your deck is safe and sturdy by having a contractor examine it for you and recommend any repairs or replacements.
In addition, an upgraded or completely new deck can greatly improve the backyard outdoor experience. A partial outdoor kitchen, maybe a fireplace, some built in seating, will make the deck more fun to spend time there.
We have been asked to build a partial roof over many patios and decks, as these guarantee homeowners can enjoy their decks even when those mild drizzly rains come, and provide shade on a hot summer day.
What would make your backyard more enjoyable?
